Born in Halifax, I have spent every summer since 1970 painting in the Atlantic provinces while
my husband worked there as a geologist. Living in the Ottawa area gave me the opportunity to paint the
Canadian shield.
This photo shows me working on the granite coastal barrens of Nova Scotia, 1995.
I have been a full-time artist for 25 years working in oils and chalk pastels. The paintings
have been done on location in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and the Gatineau Hills of Québec.
This is a small but representative sample of recent pastel works.
